Self Confidence Boost!
I just got off the phone with one of my publishers and he was telling me how my assignment for this issue is really a big deal for the industry and how it’s going to be big news…and there’s a reason why I was assigned it. He then went on to tell me how he was so impressed by a previous story I wrote that he gave very little guidance or information on - I found the right people to talk to and really made the story come alive.
What a great way to end a Friday and long week! The pressure is on with this story, but it’s so great to hear how confident he is in me.
Oh, and did I mention this is the guy who basically gave me my first job? We’ve both since left that company and once again are working with each other. He really is a great person.

Holy Productive Day
The run down:
- Wrote article on regional fare cards
- Edited cover story
- Edited two additional feature stories
- Transcribed interview for public-private partnership article
- Sent questions over to the FTA for interview that will hopefully happen tomorrow
- Tested newsletters for two clients
- Managed to still go to the gym at lunch
Now for a super early dinner and then it’s off to the Bradley Center to work the Bucks v. Heat game!

The problem with freelancing…
is when someone calls you sometimes it takes five minutes into the phone call to have any idea which publication they are calling about or even to remember who the heck they are! I think I played this one off nicely though. Phew

Job interview next week!!
Good health insurance may be in my future people!

I wish I hadn’t given up drinking during the week for Lent
Because today is one of those days where you just want a nice refreshing smooth drink after work. Ugh. If only it were Thursday and then I could use that whole, well Holy Week isn’t part of Lent argument. Oh well.

To Do:
- Create “company” website like I’ve been saying I was going to for about 3 months now
- Come up with 2 story ideas to pitch to Wisconsin Trails
- Find more freelance work and set myself free
-
I am dominating my To Do list today.
Only one item left and it’s not even 1:30
-
1 article done, 3 to go
The busy month continues! I love having this many writing projects going on at once! It’s a bit hectic to manage but it is way more fulfilling than my web work.
