Love in the Time of Cholera
Goodreads has stopped showing Love in the Time of Cholera in my currently reading list on my home page. Sure, if I click show all it pops up. But it’s not there laughing at me and taunting me. I want to finish it, I really do. But it’s just so hard. It’s almost painful to read. It’s not even that it’s bad, it’s just so long winded that I get distracted and forget what the heck I was reading about.
Instead now I just have The Jungle reminding me that I abandoned it. I’m not entirely sure why I pushed that one aside. Perhaps book club books got in the way and now I just keep forgetting other than the dust it’s collection on my nightstand.

When you try to foil Amazon, they figure you out
So my next book club book is Grace Williams Says it Loud, by Emma Henderson. My friend and book club buddy is moving to London in about two months so in her honor we’re reading some Brit fiction. Since I just got a fancy new Kindle Fire, I wanted to download the ebook. So I’m searching Amazon’s Kindle store and can’t find it…but then I see I can change my location! So, I change my location to United Kingdom, and what do you know there’s the ebook available for download! I quickly click buy thinking I’ve found the loophole. Then I’m pretty sure I heard the computer say, ” Silly Rabbit Trix are for Kids.” After I clicked buy I got a message that said the book wasn’t available for download in my location: United States because of copyright rules. I thought about changing my location in my contact stuff, but I’m too afraid that will result in a hold on my credit card when charges from the UK show up. I can buy the book here, so why can’t I buy the ebook? So frustrating.
